I’m Gwen, a former journalist and therapist in training who has way too many self-help, self-development, and psychology books on my bookshelves. I know I don’t need any more, and yet …
I’ve always been passionate about mental health and emotional wellness and wrote a bunch about these topics when I worked as a reporter.
“Your self-help bestie” is a return to my roots, a newsletter that will include reflections on the books I love as well as interviews with mental health professionals, artists, and others in the space. This is a newsletter written from the perspective of someone cares about empowering people to live their best lives, while she’s on the journey of doing the same.
If you’re looking for a dash of hope in your inbox amid work emails and spam, then this is the newsletter for you. Each week, we’ll be covering a different topic related to emotional wellness that will hopefully provide you with some new perspective.
